Zines!

I started making zines for my college radio station in 2001, whoa, and then I made my first personal project zine in 2007, called Do Stuff! Here’s me back then pointing to the zine—the cover of that zine is a photo of me in second grade pointing at a painting I made.

That zine isn’t available anymore, but I did distribute a few hundred copies at the time so if you have it that’s cool!

I started wanting to get back into zine-making in recent years and I started with my little pizza-making zine in 2023:

I started 2025 by making a movies-of-2024 zine! I got obsessed with making a giant crossword puzzle, as well as multiple other connect-the-dots and other puzzles, and illustrations, and lists of movies and stuff:

cover of movies zine, with handdrawn text: It's hard, isnt it, being a person? the movies of 2024, by Lee, Lee Does Stuff. Drawing of a movie theater from the audience point of view, with a boot up and the backs of chairs, the zine title is on the movie screen. Below the boot and chairs are seven handdrawn movie posters, for: Do Not Expect Too Much From the End of the World, Lisa Frankenstein, My Old Ass, I Used to Be Funny, National Anthem, Woman of the Hour, The People's Joker
