in about 8 hours i’m leaving on a 9 day road trip up to san francisco, portland, olympia, and seattle. i’ll be trying to check my email in coffeeshops every few days, but if you order a zine i won’t be able to send it out till about march 2nd. just letting you know! yay road trip!
correatown contribution
angela correa, of correatown, the low standards, and les shelleys, was rad to contribute a recipe + drawing to the zine. a black and white photocopied version is in the zine, of course, so i am posting the full-color version for all to see here.
connect-the-dots!
at the end of the zine, you will find this connect-the-dots puzzle!
there’s a little contest for it. as stated in the zine: “it’s an album cover. if you know what it is, go to the blog – the first person to comment on the relating post with which album it is wins a colored 7″ record bowl! have fun!” so, here’s the post – if you think you know, comment to win that bowl!
and, ok, for anyone who wants to participate before they get their zines (or anyone who is down with blogs but not with zines), here is a printable sized file, so you can print out a separate copy of the puzzle.
and of course, if you haven’t done it yet, don’t read the comments for this post before you do it yourself; who wants to see the finished picture before connecting the dots?!

only one day late!
i just got back from the copy shop! now they need to be cut and bound; i’ll have the sample pages scanned and up on the issues page by tonight, so check it out! i’ll be throwing posts up here throughout the next few weeks, with color photos of things in the zine, and links, and all kinds of zine stuff.

ok so, my original planned release date was today, feb 1st. that got pushed back when a broken hard drive and a job transfer put off my productivity abilities for a couple weeks around the beginning of the year. i’ve been working hard for the last few weeks though, writing, photographing, laying out pages. i’m getting to the final stages, it’s exciting! so, at this rate, and with minimal unforeseen last minute time-consuming details (of which i’m sure there will be a few), i think i’ll be able to make my feb 8th goal. you can pre-order a copy right now, here (also, the “issues” link at the top) – they’re $2. i’ll be giving away buttons and perhaps some other little goodies with zine orders; and, i’ll be giving away free zines with leethal store orders of over $20.
